This Privacy Policy explains how TeeBall Playbook ("the app," "we," "us"), provided by Aaron Kightlinger, handles information. TeeBall Playbook is a practice-planning tool for volunteer coaches. You do not create an account to use it, and it is built to keep your information on your device wherever possible.
The following stay on your device and are not uploaded to us:
Deleting the app removes this local data.
TeeBall Playbook offers optional AI helpers — "Suggest a Plan" and "Analyze my plan." When (and only when) you tap one, the app sends the following to our server (hosted on Supabase) and to our AI provider (Anthropic, which runs the Claude model that generates the response):
Your roster and your notes are never part of this. Player names, jersey numbers and practice notes stay on your device even when you use an AI feature. The only thing sent about your team is how many kids you expect — a head count, because a drill for six children is not a drill for sixteen. It is a number on its own: it names nobody, it is not linked to you, and it is not kept once your plan comes back.
We use this information solely to generate your plan or analysis and to rate-limit requests (to prevent abuse of the service). We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile.
The random device identifier and the date are stored on our server to count daily usage; these counters are short-lived and are not linked to your identity.
If you subscribe, the purchase is handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the purchase event and an anonymous identifier for your app install. Neither we nor RevenueCat receive your payment details — Apple handles those.
If you allow notifications, the app uses local notifications on your device (for the practice timer). No notification data is sent to us or any server.
TeeBall Playbook is a tool for coaches (adults). It is not directed to children, and children do not use it.
The app does let a coach keep a team roster — the player names and jersey numbers the coach types in — and write notes about a practice. That information is stored only on the coach's own device. It is never uploaded to us, never sent to our AI provider, never shared with anyone, and it is removed when the app is deleted. There is no account it could be attached to.
We collect none of it ourselves and we never see it. We suggest coaches enter no more than they need — a first name or a nickname is enough for a roster.
Everything above is about the app. The website (teeballplaybook.com) is separate, and it is worth being explicit about, because this policy previously said nothing about it at all.
We do not sell your information. The limited data described above is shared only with the service providers that make the AI features work (Supabase, which hosts our server, and Anthropic, which runs the Claude model), and only for those purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, note them in the app or store listing.
