⚾ TeeBall Playbook

You said yes to coaching. Now it’s Tuesday.

Build practice on an iPhone: a date and time row, practice length and number of kids as tappable numbers, then three ways to start — suggest a plan, start from a template, or pick drills.
Tap the length, tap the number of kids, and start.

Saturday is coming either way

You volunteered at the team meeting. Then you realised you have twelve four-year-olds, a bag of equipment, and ninety minutes to fill — and the internet is full of drills written for eleven-year-olds.

What you get

Every drill written for little kids

Hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, warm-ups and cooldowns — each with a picture, how long it runs, what you need, and a one-line script you can say out loud.

A drill page: Controlled Tap, with its illustration, how long it takes, how to run it, and the line to say to the kids.

A practice plan in about two minutes

Say how long you have and how many kids turned up. Drop in drills and the timings work themselves out. Or start from a ready-made practice and change what you like.

The home screen: a greeting, your team, and a row of ready-made practices to start from.

Something to hand your assistant

Every plan prints to a one-page sheet with the drills, the timings and the scripts — enough for another parent to run a station without you explaining it twice.

Keep the season straight

Put each practice on a day and it shows up on a calendar, so you know what is next without scrolling a list. Write a note afterwards while it is still fresh.

The Practices tab: a month calendar with dots on the days that have a practice, and a list beneath of what is coming up.

An AI that knows tee-ball

Stuck? Ask for a plan and you get a real one, built from the same drill library and fitted to the time you actually have. Or have it look over the practice you built and say what is missing — it is a second opinion, not a coach.

Practice Analysis: a coach’s note saying the plan is well rounded, a finding about its length, and chips suggesting drills to add.

It works on the field

No signal at the park, no problem — everything is on your phone. A practice timer walks you drill by drill so you are not doing arithmetic while eleven kids wait.

The practice timer running Alligator Chomp with 7:50 left, what is up next, and the words to say to the kids.

The part nobody warns you about

A section called The Art of Herding Cats: what to expect when one child lies down in the outfield and another runs to third, and what to say so four-year-olds actually listen.

Six of the drills, in full

Not screenshots — the actual drills, exactly as they appear in the app, which has over a hundred of them. Every one has its own picture, its timing, and the line in quotes to say out loud.

Red Light, Green Light (Baserunning)

Warm-up game · 10 min

Kids line up at home plate facing the coach at the pitcher’s mound. “Green light” = run toward the coach, “red light” = freeze.

“Green light, go! Red light, freeze!”

Tee Swing Basics

Hitting · 15 min

Set up 2-3 tees. Kids rotate through in small groups, each taking 3 swings before rotating to the next station.

“Big swing, watch the ball!”

Alligator Chomp

Fielding · 8 min

Teach the two-handed scoop as an “alligator”: glove is the bottom jaw, throwing hand is the top jaw. Roll slow grounders and have kids chomp the ball with both hands.

“Alligator chomp — two hands on it!”

Hit the Bucket

Throwing · 10 min

Stand a bucket on its side a few feet from a short throwing line. Kids take turns tossing soft balls, trying to land one in the bucket, then chase their ball and rejoin the line.

“Aim for the bucket — step and throw!”

Bases Relay Race

Base running · 10 min

Split into two lines at home plate. One at a time, kids run to first base and back, then tag the next teammate.

“Run to the base and back — go, go, go!”

Cooldown Huddle & High Fives

Cooldown · 5 min

Gather the team in a circle. Ask each kid to share one thing they liked about practice, then end with a team cheer and high fives.

“What was your favorite part of practice today?”

Who made this

A volunteer tee-ball coach who spent the first season making it up on the way to the field, and wrote every drill in here for his own team first.

What it costs

7 days free, then $19.99 a year.

That is less than a bag of practice balls, and it is the whole app — not a starter tier with the useful parts locked.

Everything is included

Every drill. Every ready-made practice. The practice timer, the PDF export, the AI help, your team roster and your practice notes.

Cancel whenever you like

In your iPhone’s App Store settings, the same place as every other subscription. Cancel during the free week and you are not charged.

Questions

Does it work at the field with no signal?

Yes. Your practices, the drills and the timer all live on your phone and need no connection. Only the optional AI help does.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember.

What happens to my players’ names?

They stay on your phone. Your roster and your notes are never uploaded, not even when you use the AI help. See the privacy policy.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. It is an iPhone app for now.

Can I see the drills before I buy?

Six of them are on this page in full, exactly as the app has them. The other hundred come with it.
